Frank Scandale

Frank Scandale never set out to be a journalist. When he told a  friendly motorist in Switzerland who picked him up hitchhiking that he wanted to be a writer, Frank uttered the lines that amused the Fate gods: “Do I want to be a journalist? Ha. Are you kidding? That’s such an easy job. A monkey could do that job, no, I want to be…Blah, Blah, Blah.”

The motorist was Guido Tognoni, only the most famous sports writer in Switzerland. Frank offered to be let out at the next Alp so he could jump into a raging gorge.

The rest is history.

Thirty plus years later, he’s covered some of the biggest stories in modern history – Sept. 11 terror attacks, Columbine High School   massacre, the Newtown shootings, and the JonBenet Ramsey murder mystery, to name a few. Like he said, so easy a monkey….

In his spare time, he likes to comment on the world around him in a not-so-serious way.
